How old do I have to be to join WECSL? 

You need to be 19+ to register as a WECSL member. 

What is the schedule?

The season typically starts in late April and ends in late July. The schedule is finalized at the AGM and released by the first week of April.

When does the WECSL league play?

A WECSL team plays every Saturday at 10am, 12pm, 2pm or 4pm. Teams will have approximately two weekday games per month on either Monday or Wednesday. The league does not play on long (holiday) weekends.

When does registration for the league start? 

Registration typically takes place in March of every year.

Can I sign up as a team? 

WECSL does not register full teams. Our model actively encourages individual sign-ups for members to develop new relationships.

Can I sign up with a partner?

You may sign up with a single playing partner that mutually indicates such a desire during the registration process. The executive will then ensure you are drafted to the same team.

Do I need to get insurance? 

Your WECSL registration covers all insurance requirements of Softball BC.

How much does it cost? 

The 2024 season cost is CAD$100 per person. Financial breakdowns are provided at the AGM or on request by any interested party.

 

Where does WECSL play?

WECSL plays at Brockton Oval located in Stanley Park.

 

What equipment do I need to provide?

WECSL provides all necessary equipment except for gloves. We provide an inventory of 12+ different Slo-Pitch approved bats throughout every season. Helmets and pitching guards are available for use, but we cannot guarantee an appropriate fit.

Cleats are recommended for our field, but not mandatory.
